All threaded motorcycle mirror adaptors feature a central hole, which impacts structural integrity but serves an important purpose.
This design reduces the risk of hydro locking.
If these adaptors are tightened into blind holes containing any liquid, it could cause the mirror bracket to crack.
Therefore, they should only be finger-tightened and secured with a gentle turn of a spanner.
