The German tyre manufacturer Heidenau presents the K80, a new diagonal tyre specially designed for the sporty performance of supermotos. The K80 is designed for super bikes like the KTM Duke, Honda and Yamaha XT660X FMX650. Each motorcycle due to their low weight and their enormous versatility give rise to a very sporty riding style. And that makes high demands on the tyres. The German tyre specialist Heidenau developed a special compound which is built according to a new elastomer technology that with maximum grip combines excellent abrasion resistance. The contour of the Heidenau K80 chosen so that fast corner combinations are easier to be directed. And thanks to the special construction of the shoulder that the grip level also in accelerating out is optimal. The application of new materials in the diagonal carcass ensure further that the directional stability of the K80 is guaranteed even under difficult circumstances. There is also considerable attention paid to the cushioning properties of the carcass, so the tyre combines high performance with a pleasant ride.
