How to measure your fuel tank thread:

Measure from the outside tip of the tank thread on one side, to the outside tip of the tank thread on the opposite side.
For example: If the thread size of this tap is 12mm it will fit a smaller fuel tank thread at roughly 10mm.

How to measure your fuel tap thread:

Without including the thread: Measure from the inside flat edge part of the nuts thread on one side, to the inside flat edge part of the nuts thread on the opposite side.
For example: If the thread size of this tap is 12mm we measure the inside diameter of the nut by not including the nuts thread to get the 12mm.
