Note: The Fizzy FS1/FS1E used different condensers throughout models, so please check the image as you may need our SKU: 005012 with a single wire.
Yamaha YB100E Condenser Wiring Guide
Original Setup (Solder-On Type):
• Condenser body soldered directly to the contact breaker plate
• No external wires—connections made via solder tabs
Modern Replacement Setup (2-Wire Type):
• Wire 1 (to points): Connects to the same terminal as the original condenser—this is the signal wire from the points
• Wire 2 (to ground): Secure under a clean screw on the contact breaker plate or to chassis ground
Important:
The black/white wire from the loom is part of the ignition kill circuit and should not be connected to the condenser. Grounding this wire will cut spark.
Summary:
This modern condenser replaces the original solder-on unit used on Yamaha YB100E models. It features two sealed wire leads: one connects to the ignition points, and the other to ground. The black/white wire from the loom is unrelated to the condenser—it is used for ignition shut-off and should remain wired as per original configuration.
