DID 630V FJ Silver Heavy Duty O-Ring Drive Chain Split Link
Note: This link is an FJ press-fit clip type for DID 630V O-ring chains. The side plate is designed to be a tight fit and must be pressed on with a chain tool or vice before fitting the clip. This is normal for this chain type and is not a fault.
This item is an FJ press-fit clip link for DID 630V O-ring chains. The side plate is designed to be a tight interference fit and must be pressed onto the pins before the retaining clip is installed.
- Not a loose “SL” slide-on link: Many heavy-duty O-ring chains, including DID 630V, do not have an SL option
- Tool required: Use a chain press/tool or a carefully used vice to seat the side plate fully to the groove
- Normal by design: A tight plate is not a machining fault it’s how FJ links ensure seal integrity and strength
Quick fitting guide:
- Grease O-rings and pins per chain maker’s instructions
- Assemble inner/outer O-rings and plate on the pins
- Press the side plate on evenly until the clip grooves are fully exposed
- Install the clip with the closed end facing chain travel
- Check clip is fully seated; verify free movement and correct plate alignment
Tip: If you specifically need a slide-on style link, please check availability for your chain brand first, as it may not be offered for 630V O-ring chains.
