The self clamping double wire spring loaded clips are made from high carbon steel wire with a zinc plated finish. They have a wide acceptance in the automotive industry which is testament to their cost effectiveness and efficiency, very popular for small diameter fuel and coolant hose.
The double wound wire is designed to distribute a constant tension pressure around the hose or pipe. Their use is recommended when the hose is subject to rapid changes in temperature which cause expansion and contraction of the materials used in the assembly. The spring clip maintains pressure during this process, thereby preventing leaks and are ideal for sealing silicone vacuum hose.
