Motobatt MBT6N4 AGM Sealed Battery 6N4-2A 6N4C-1B 6N42A 6N4-2A-4A
Please note:
Some Honda NC50 Express machines were registered in 1979 but built to a later 1980 specification, which uses a different battery. Registration year alone is not a reliable indicator of correct battery fitment for the NC50 Express.
Please check the battery dimensions before ordering. The smaller battery used on NC50 models earlier than 1980 is currently only available in conventional flooded lead-acid form. As we supply AGM batteries only, which are suitable for lawful and safe online sale, we do not stock the earlier lead-acid type.

Charging the Motobatt MBT6N4
We highly recommend charging your AGM battery every 6 weeks when your machine is rarely used, or to help keep your battery in good health, with one of our battery chargers that has a built in maintainer.
The worst thing you can do to a battery is start your machine every now and then in an attempt to keep it topped up. This often leaves the battery partially discharged, which will have a negative effect on both performance and battery life.
If you must use a trickle charger, do not leave your AGM battery on charge all the time. Let the battery discharge slightly between charges, but never below 12.2V, as this will damage the battery and shorten its life. You can use one of our trickle chargers designed specifically for AGM batteries, but even then, remove it from trickle charge from time to time and follow the advice below.
Your battery comes to you pre-conditioned and ready to install straight out of the box. You do not need to add acid, however due to storage variations in the supply chain, you should always place the battery on a suitable AGM charger before fitting.
Draining a battery through parasitic loads is the number one cause of battery failure, and once taken below 8V it can be very difficult for the battery to recover.
Many bike owners do not realise the strain a modern battery can face due to sophisticated electronics and constant low level power draw.
We recommend one of our chargers, as they are all suited for AGM batteries. This will help keep your battery in the fully charged state it was designed for.
Please read more here Battery Care and FAQs, which applies to all batteries supplied by Motorcycle Products.
Your AGM battery still needs looking after, even though it is classed as maintenance free. Please take a moment to read the advice, as it may surprise you and will help extend the life of your battery.
