Wiring guide:

Backlight: positive (+) = orange wire, negative (-) = black
High beam: positive (+) = blue wire, negative (-) = blue/black
Neutral: positive (+) = green wire, negative (-) = green/black
Oil warning: positive (+) = red wire, negative (-) = red/black
Indicators: positive (+) = yellow wire, negative (-) = yellow/black

This speedo fits most European and Japanese motorcycle models that use a standard speedo cable with 11mm screw-on cap and 2mm square inner cable.

This speedo fits most Japanese bikes with an 18" or 19" front wheel apart from some Kawasaki VN models, Yamaha XN models and other Yamaha models that use a unique 2.93:1 ratio.

The 2:1:1 ratio is worked by 2 revolutions of the cable for every revolution of the front wheel. To accurately check ratios you need to turn your speedo drive once, if your inner speedo cable turns once, it's a 1:1 ratio, twice and it's a 2:1:1 ratio. Raise your front wheel and check before purchase!
